The App Feature: The "EMS Has Arrived" Button
What it does: The Mobilize Rescue App has an "EMS HAS ARRIVED” button at the top of the screen, so that bystanders can easily transition from helping a victim to helping EMS when they arrive on the scene.
The Emergency Scenario: CPR at the Gym
You’re at the gym jogging around the track when you see someone collapse, unconscious, to the floor. You rush over with your phone, and launch the Mobilize Rescue App and follow the prompts to check breathing with an airway assessment and to start providing CPR, while you ask someone to go find an AED. While you provide compressions to the metronome beat in the Mobilize Rescue App, the ambulance arrives and a professional takes over providing compressions. Now that you’re not responsible for providing care, you press "EMS HAS ARRIVED” on the top of the Mobilize Rescue App, and show the "Summary Screen” to EMS providers.
The Bystander & EMS Benefit: A Smooth, Simple Transition
The Mobilize Rescue App isn’t designed to replace EMS, but to serve as a tool to help a bystander keep someone alive until the professionals can provide care – so once the ambulance has arrived, all that’s left for a bystander to do is to remove their gloves carefully & to show the first responders the "Summary Screen” with a list of important actions taken during the emergency.
What Medical Emergencies can the Mobilize Rescue App help manage?
